School and Library Visits

If you are reaching out pertaining to a school visit, please email contact@marisachurchill.com with the subject heading: School Visit or Library Visit.

I love collaborating with educators on school and library visits. So, whether you are looking to host a virtual or in-person presentation, half-day, or full-day visit, I’d love to work with you!

All visits include:

  • A presentation with a fun activity
  • Signed book orders, either in person or done in collaboration with a local bookstore
  • Student Q&A (I’m happy to discuss everything from Top Chef, to the creative process of writing and cooking)

“Marisa is an absolute delight to work with. Planning her visit was seamless, as communication with Marisa was fast and clear, and she was very flexible with our school’s changing needs. Her presentation, incorporating both writing and cooking, kept the students engaged. They loved hearing about Marisa’s televised cooking competition experiences, writing, and chocolate! Following her visit, the school was abuzz with students eager to read and write (and cook!), and, really, what more can you ask of an author visit?”

— Amanda Bissell,
Librarian at Morey Middle School

“Marisa’s visit to St. Elizabeth’s School was wonderful! Her presentation showcases her passion for cooking and storytelling, both of which absolutely stirred my students’ curiosity. We were lucky to have her share her talents with us. Having a strong, kind demeanor meant that students’ responded well to her and her content. At the end, they peppered Marisa with attentive, insightful questions, all of which Marisa answered with generosity and kindness.”

— Shelly Burns,
St. Elizabeth’s School

“Marisa’s presentation was fun, tasty, and enrapturing for young readers! Her combination of culinary art and story make this book and author visit a memorable one. Marisa speaks to students with clarity, allows for their curiosity, and even brings in a little friendly competition to keep discussion rolling! It is not often you see a group of 200 middle schoolers so focused and engaged! “
